By way of introduction, my name is Scott Acheson. I have spent most of my life challenging myself and those around me. Having been raised in Michigan, I spent most of my childhood hunting, fishing, camping and playing organized sports. I got my first motorcycle in 1976, a Yamaha YZ 80 at the tender age of 13 and thus the love affair began.
When it came time to go to college, I chose a small school in Michigan, Adrian College, where I majored in Geology and played on the football team. Following graduation, I joined the Marine Corp, where my mental and physical limits were pushed to their limits in Office Candidate School. I became a platoon commander, leading young marines. I also had the honor of playing for the All Marine Rugby team. Soon after, I was deployed to Asia and South America.
After five years in the Marines, I joined corporate America. I have spent the last 20 plus years working in the adult beverage industry, honing my skills in sales and marketing. I have had the pleasure of living on both coasts and have traveled world-wide on business.
I have never lost my competitive edge. I have run marathons, ridden my bicycle 200 miles in one day in Death Valley and have fly fished all over the world. My latest addiction is Jui Jitsu.
My current ride is a 2011 BMW GSA. I love riding a big adventure bike in places it doesn’t belong.
Now a new adventure begins with River Pilot and I am excited to be a part of this elite team. I look forward to sharing my experience, expertise and enthusiasm with you as we plan the adventure of your life!
